Wishing everyone a very happy and safe diwali. Pics of bakshanams coming soon…
Have a great day !!!
Update : I am into the world of diwali nostalgia from last evening. We all got up early, had oil massage, oil bath, home style breakfast, did pooja and now off to work. I am working from home today attending calls since morning 😦 as Adi’s school is closed for Teachers workshop. The little girl is at living room now watching TV. She peeps into my room now and then to ask “Amma can I take one more murukku or one more rava ladoo?”. Reminds me of the days me and bro used to attack the snack section that is surrounded by “Erumbu marundhu” (Eng: medicinal powder to keep away ants). I am enjoying the moment she is peeping in for the sweets and waiting for my nod … I was jumping in joy yesterday eve when Adi bounced back for second murukku while I was making them. The joy at little one’s face enjoying home made sweets wipes off all the effort spent in making them. Can’t ask for more on this special day.
Here is our diwali platter
Happy Diwali, A.

thanks priya… wheat halwa making is timing consuming right?
Yes. The processing time is more min 12 hrs required
Maitha halwa is not only cheap and best but also less time consuming comparing to Wheat halwa
oh that’s nice… send me the recipe if you have… my mom is an expert in making wheat halwa.. she makes it for diwali and every time my bro visits her as it is his all time favorite 🙂 she learned it from my grandma… now don’t get into any ideas I don’t have any plans to learn it from her 🙂
